CHAPTER 17: Plannings; Revelations; and A Whack!

Anirudh sighed tiredly, as he plopped onto the bed, and pulled up the covers. It had been an exhausting day. But today's incidents had disturbed his mind to a great extent. Had he been in the position of Mr. Chakraborty, he wouldn't have spared Debjit Dutta with just a warning and a punishment, that probably won't even be effective enough.             To which ominous direction, were today's young minds and youths headed? Were these the kind of things they were supposed to do? This was absolutely unacceptable. This wasn't even criticism or bullying. What Dutta did, was practically harassment. He physically hurt a fellow student.            What effect would this incident have had on Bondita? She was an optimistic and thoughtful girl. But, her mind was still young. She might be mature, but even the strongest of people had a breaking point. And Bondita was just a teen. He hoped she could rise above it all.            Anirudh snorted as he remembered about
CHAPTER 14: BONDITA'S ANGST   Bondita had finally got some time to have a chat with her Sakha Babu and even he said that he was free for two days. They'd been texting back and forth, for the last one and a half hour, talking about their favourite TV shows to movies and music and sports etc. It was their topic for today--- their favourites in every field. Their tastes were similar in a lot many things. But they also enjoyed their differences, because their texting banter was fun, as each tried to persuade the other, that their favourite was better.  But yesterday's incidents had disturbed her a bit too much. So much, that she wasn't even able to get the exhilarating feeling that her conversations with her Sakha Babu gave her. And he noticed that. Because his latest message went something like- 'Something seems off with you, Sakhi' Staring at the message, she wondered how on earth he knew that, just by a phone conversation.  'How do you know?', she typed a
CHAPTER 13: CHAOS ALL AROUND "Why are you silent, Bondita? Say something please. Anything!", Srijit cried out, holding Bondita by the shoulders.  "Uhh...", was the only thing Bondita was able to say, though.  Srijit had just now dropped a bombshell upon her. It had been a while since they became friends. But Bondita had never thought that this friendship would take such a drastic turn.  "I think I'm in love with you, Bondita. What do you feel about me?", was all it took, for Bondita to go limp. Her brain nearly stopped working. Feeling dizzy, she felt like she would faint. She held onto a nearby railing for support. She had never expected this, even in her wildest of dreams.  She looked at Srijit. He was looking at her with a hopeful face. His eyes were shining. But Bondita was feeling downright sick. She didn't know how to react; she didn't know what to say.  So she did the only thing that came into her mind. Something that Bondita Das had n

AniDita One-Shot

Difficult Times Ahead              It was a bright sunny Monday morning. The Roy Chowdhury Haveli was mostly empty, except for five occupants.             "Bondita, have you seen the documents of the property we bought for building the school?", Anirudh Roy Chowdhury asked his wife as he rummaged through the drawers of his table, trying to locate the documents.             "Pati Babu, it's in the uppermost drawer. Look properly", Bondita Roy Chowdhury replied.             "But Bondita, I can't find it. Help me, please", Anirudh whined.            She turned around to look at him sharply. "And Pati Babu, what if I find it there? What then?", she asked, now, grinning cheekily.             Bondita's mischievous grin didn't go unnoticed by Anirudh. And he would never even in his dreams, underestimate that grin. It was the calm before a storm. He identified each and every expression and emotion of Bondita and he knew the meaning behind
CHAPTER 12: EACH OTHER'S SHIKSHAK BABU             Bondita's parting sentence about working on his lessons, had rankled Anirudh's mind all day. He really wasn't cut out to teach. He could lecture and give explanations well. But, when it came to theory and making the students understand the fundamental, he faced difficulties.              He really wasn't good at planning. It was always Saurav, who helped him with planning everything. Even his study routine was planned with his help.             But now, he had to be headstrong. With a renewed vigour and determination, Anirudh entered the classroom.              "Ok, students, I have something to say to you all. Listen, I know, I haven't been the best teacher. But now, that's going to change". Everyone was looking at him with rapt attention and he didn't know why, but that unnerved him a bit.             A girl raised her hand. "Sir, you are very good at giving explanations and helping u
